So much of the State’s new job and economic development happens in and around the metro Atlanta area. I am a relationship builder. I will work with each county to advocate for new businesses to come to our area. As I stated in the education section, we must have a workforce available to encourage new businesses to come and that starts with offering educational classes that will train our students in the skills needed for future jobs. Having broadband that is accessible to all of the district is essential to economic development.
Government closest too the people works best, and I will always work to keep governing power on a local level where applicable.
I will never support a tax increase and I never have during my tenure on the Paulding County School Board. In fact, under my leadership we passed one of the first tax cuts in several years.
Government spends too much as it is. I will look to reduce government spending where it is being wasted and allocated funds to responsible necessary areas like education, infrastructure and public safety.
Agriculture is Georgia’s number one industry and we need to keep it that way for generations to come! Our small Georgia Grown farmers need an advocate to help them complete with the large agricultural conglomerates. Work force development and educational opportunities are a top priority. Support Georgia Right to Farm bill and stop Georgia farmers from nuisance lawsuits.
For those that have served and fought to protect our freedoms, they deserve someone that will be their voice. Health care, occupational training services, help readjusting to civilian life are all issues that our veterans face. I will be an advocate for our local veterans.
